Just like you, I want photos of it all. All the big moments, and all the precious small ones. I have about 20,000 photos on my iPhone because I can’t get enough of capturing and keeping my memories close.
As much as we all love taking our own photos during daily life, there’s nothing like having a professional photographer capture them for you. You get to see yourself and your relationships from the outside and in such a stunning way. I photograph the way I would want someone to photograph me, capturing ALL the photos, building connection, incorporating joy, laughter and how people really are together.
That being said, I specialize as a Wedding Photographer and Wedding Videographer based on Vancouver Island, BC. I also love Family Photography, Engagement Photography, Maternity Photography, and Branding! The bulk of my work takes place near Victoria or Campbell River, but I’ll never say no to traveling! I aim to create an experience during my sessions, while specializing in bright, vibrant images that showcase you and the nature that surrounds you.

The value of a photograph
I watched my Oma lose her memory over 8 years.
This was a major transformative moment in my life that has shaped who I am and why I do what I do. In 2008, my Oma developed a sudden case of Alzheimer’s where she lost the majority of her memory.
When she moved into a home, my entire family chose photos of the family to hang on her walls, to help her remember her history. It was so cool to see her when she was in her 20’s, walking hand in hand with my Opa after World War 2. There were also photos with her and her 4 babies (my mom), and again years later with her grandkids. Each photo told a story. Her life was all around her.
In April of 2019, she passed away peacefully with family surrounding her. At the funeral, I made a slideshow of photos throughout her life. One thing I realized was the lack of photos I had with her. Each picture we had together brought all my memories back from those days together, but sadly there were so few.
I always valued photographs, but this was when I realized the immense value they brought. With each photos, I could go back to that day and feel what it felt like to be with her. Photographs tell life stories, share family memories, showcase the best of days, bring on all the nostalgia. Photos and videos last forever.
