In today’s digital age, personal branding is more important than ever. Personal branding photography and videography is a powerful tool that can help you stand out from the competition and connect with your audience on a deeper level. Customers buy from people they Know, Like and Trust.

Professional Photos and Videos show clients who you are, what you offer them, how you can change their life, what results they will receive with your product or service is what allows customers to know you, like you, and build trust with you.

What is Personal Branding Photography?

Personal branding photography is a type of photography that focuses on capturing images that represent your personal brand. It’s a way to visually communicate who you are, what you do, and how you help your ideal client. Personal branding photography can be a range of things! This includes headshots, lifestyle photos, and behind-the-scenes shots, action photos, working with clients, and much more – all things that give your audience a glimpse into your life and work.

What Are These Photos & Videos Used For?

These photos should be used everywhere in order to create a consistent brand message that people recognize. Many of my clients have used their images for a complete website revamp, their social media, headshots for profile images, marketing materials and ads, and much more.

How Can Personal Branding Benefit Your Business?

Personal branding photography can benefit your business in so many ways.

1) Stand Out From Competition:

It helps you establish a strong, consistent and unique brand image that sets you apart from your competitors. By showcasing your personality and values through your photos, you can build trust and credibility with your audience, while standing out among the competition.

2) Book More Clients / Increase Sales:

Clients buy from or work with people they know, like, and trust. If you can get people to know you, like you, and trust you just with your branding, you have already won. Your brand and the feeling associated with your images and videos is how people will think about you. A first impression of your brand is going last. You want to evoke an emotion that will get people to connect with you and your brand for a long time.

3) Save Time & Effort On Creating Content:

Finally, personal branding photography can save you time and effort to create content (that’s the name of the game in this day and age). Content is king. You know you need it, but it’s hard to find time to create it and capture it in the way you invision your brand. When you get professional photos and videos done, you won’t have to ever feel that stress of constantly having to make content. You will have consistent photos and videos across all your social media platforms.

What Types Of Photos Should You Consider For Your Brand?

When it comes to personal branding photography, there are many types of photos and types of video content to consider. First, you may want to invest in headshots that showcase your professional image and personality. These can be used on your website, social media profiles, and business cards.

Additionally, lifestyle photos can help you showcase your brand values and personality in a more casual setting. These can include photos of you working, interacting with clients or customers, or engaging in hobbies or interests related to your business.

Personal Branding Example: JR Real Estate In Port Alberni

When it came to my client Jack Roland, a Real Estate Agent in Port Alberni, he wanted his brand to showcase who he was along with the beauty of the area. When it comes to real estate agents, oftentimes their branding is them standing in front of a house in a fancy suit or in front of a white wall. It was always trendy to be clear, and very ‘professional’ looking, or even a bit luxurious.

But Jack wanted his branding to stand out and encourage his potential clients to get to know, like, and trust him. So for his branding photoshoot we headed to the ocean to showcase that you can fish every day here. Port Alberni is right on the water so he wanted to show people all of the great things that the area had to offer. Then we headed to Sprout Lake to show the houses along the lake. We showed how this is a place where you could live and drive only ten minutes to the lake in the summer. And in general we showcased as much of the local area as possible including the best cafes, best streets, and the epic mountain views from the middle of the town.

Lastly, we wanted to make sure that Jack’s personality really shined through in his branding. Ever since Jack was a young boy, he has played the fiddle and is seriously talented with both the fiddle and guitar. We made sure to film this as well! This way, Jack can share some of his many talents along with the breathtaking views of Mexico.

Should You Include Video Content In Your Personal Branding?

YES, YES, YES!!! Think about it. We live in an era where platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and youtube dominate the marketing industry. And all three of these platforms mainly focus on video content so this should be a must for you when working on your branding. Whether it’s video content for your website header, or to introduce yourself on your About You page, or short form videos for your Instagram Reels, it can make a massive difference when connecting with clients and reaching thousands with brand awareness. Video content is truly one of the best ways to stand out because people are typically more drawn to videos and may take more time to watch a video rather than scroll through photos. And it is MUCH easier to really allow your personality to shine and help your stand out in video content.

Ready to take your own personal branding to the next level?

Campbell River Wedding Photographer

Before I started out as a Brand Photographer and Videographer, I noticed many businesses lacked Brand Clarity and were Struggling to be seen online.

I understood this problem deeply because I was trying to figure it out in my own business. It’s difficult to keep up with social media. It’s hard to take photos, and videos, follow trends, and stay top of mind… I get it, you work so frickin’ hard in your job, how do you have any time to focus on keeping up online?

That’s where I come in.

I help brands find their voice and solve their problems with jaw-dropping content that results in more awareness, increased sales, and a brand identity they can be proud of.

As much as it can be tempting to take your own photos and videos, nothing takes the weight off your shoulders like hiring a professional. Think of me as a team member. I want you to succeed, reach your goals, and fix the areas that you are struggling with. I’m not ‘just a photographer’ but an incredibly hard-working woman with my own business and a marketing-oriented mindset (I have a business degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship too).

Your business deserves to be seen online, and you shouldn’t have to struggle to make this happen. Having scroll-stopping content that represents your brand’s value and character can truly help you stand out.
