You’ve decided to have your Wedding in Victoria BC which is amazing! Finding the perfect Victoria BC Wedding Photographer can be a heavy, time-consuming process. I know what goes into the planning process and the search for vendors.

If you don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera or with your Victoria BC wedding photographer, your video could lack the authenticity of your day.

This could make your photos feel unnatural to you. Even worse, your images might not reflect the wedding day you’ve been working so hard to dream up and plan.

But I get it, you aren’t used to being in front of a camera and that can feel nerve-racking and a bit tedious. You just want to be fully emerged in everything that is happening on your wedding day and feel all the love. Odds are, you want to remember all the little details, the connections, and moments with family, friends, and your partner. You’re planning a celebration, a day to remember for the next 50+ years. I understand how important this day is for you, and how vital it is to have the right wedding photographer capture it.

Here’s the good news: It’s an easy skill to pick up, being in front of a camera, if you have someone guiding you properly and also keeping their distance allowing you space to be yourselves! That’s where I come in. I am here to ditch the ‘typical’ wedding photography methods and actually create a deeper bond between you two. This way, we can capture photos with the genuine connection and authenticity that you’ve always dreamed of. I am here to make you comfortable in front of the camera so you can be fully present and enjoy every moment of your dream wedding day.

I am still stunned and obsessed whenever I look at my wedding photos.”

I would recommend Hayley to anyone and everyone who asks. She is so professional but still knows how to keep everyone light and having fun. Her photo prompts made all our wedding pictures look effortless and natural and she captures things that we would have never even thought of. I am still stunned and obsessed whenever I look at my wedding photos. Thank you Hayley!!

Our wedding gallery has brought us to tears every time we watch it.”

Hayley did our wedding photos and videos. We are blown away. Her energy was infectious. She guided us through photos and everything felt natural and fun, we didn’t want the photos to end. We’re not kidding when we say she captured every moment both in photo and in the video. There are no words to describe how amazing it is to relive the day over and over again. Everything we received from Hayley couldn’t have been any higher in quality.

Choosing Hayley to capture your wedding is the easiest choice you’ll make while planning your wedding.

“Hayley is one of the most talented photographers I have worked with. She really brought our personalities into the pictures which is one of the special aspects to her photography. Hayley went above and beyond for our shoot. Not only were the photographs beautiful, but she truly made the experience so fun, easy, enjoyable and comfortable. She is a fantastic artist and creates photographs that tell stories and enhance the sweetness of looking back on an amazing day. All our friends and family absolutely loved our photos! We are extremely grateful and we definitely recommend using her!”

Getting Married in Victoria BC

Victoria is the city that has it all. Well known for being the capital of British Columbia, it has countless outdoor activities and every kind of nature you can think of! Surrounded by ocean, filled with forests, lakes and gardens, this is an outdoorsy persons’ dream. There are endless activities here, but most importantly, it makes for some of the most beautiful Wedding locations out there.

The weddings here always have an outdoor element to them making the images and videos absolutely breathtaking. You are never far from a beach, a lake, a river, or a giant waterfall. For me, there is almost no better place to celebrate a wedding. It is always private, intimate, joyful, fresh, colourful, and just fun here.

Best Time of Year & Weather

Victoria BC is rarely too hot or too cold. With the last few years bringing a strange kind of weather, it is almost impossible to plan the perfect date. But no matter what, you can be sure that you’ll be warm even on rainy days. My only beef with Victoria is that it can be VERY windy! So sometimes staying away from the ocean for the ceremony is a good idea.

In 2022, the best time to get married was between May – September. However, we had a surprisingly warm October that made for some beautiful sunny weddings last year. For summer lovers that want outdoor weddings, I recommend late June, July, and September. August usually brings in heat waves.

What Is Your Style Like?
I am passionate, energetic, and genuinely excited to be part of your Wedding Day. I always strive to go above and beyond when it comes to Wedding Photography or Wedding Videography. I want you to be able to look back at your wedding photos or videos and relive the entire day again.
My images are colourful, bold, and bright. I want your photos to really show how exciting your wedding day was, whether it is the amazing details you see, or the moments you might not even see.

As a Wedding Photographer, I am all about natural outdoor lighting. The images will also represent the two of you the way you truly are. I am less about posing you in the perfect way, and more about capturing the experience of it all. I have a healthy mix of organic, candid shots as well as offering direction or giving you prompts to naturally get you into those ‘picture perfect’ positions.
Can You Take Videos Too?
Yes, I do both! There are a few different ways to go about this.
1. I will be your wedding photographer first and foremost. But, when important moments occur, I can also film with my other camera. Often times couples choose to film the ‘first look’, parts of the wedding ceremony, the first dances, some of the speeches, and more.

2. I will be both your wedding photographer and wedding videographer. I can photograph roughly 60% of the time, and also film for 40% of the time. This way, you will receive an abundance of wedding images, along with a vibrant yet smooth wedding highlight video. These highlight videos range from 4-8 minutes depending on the length of the wedding day.
3. I film vertical footage – aka, on my iPhone or on my camera. This way, you have clips that you can easily share online with friends and family. Think of this as ‘behind the scenes’ natural and real footage
What Do Your Packages Include?
All Wedding Photography packages include a minimum of 80 high-resolution photos per hour of photography. For example, an 8-hour wedding will have a minimum of 640 images – but oftentimes, it is much more. Images are sent in a beautifully laid out gallery for you to download digital files, create a list of favourite images, send to friends or family, and order prints through.
I have countless add-ons that include video footage, wedding trailers, vertical video footage and behind the scenes, engagement photos, and much more.
The larger packages come with complimentary engagement sessions, while the smaller packages come with $100 off the engagement session. I highly recommend these as it gives us a chance to meet before the wedding and get you comfortable in front of the camera!
If you’d like a closer look at my packages and what the experience is like to work with me, please reach out so we can talk about all the details! I want to hear about how you want your day to feel, the moment you are most excited for, what you don’t want in your wedding day, and more!
Each Wedding Photography Package comes with a slideshow. This way, you and your partner can kick back on the couch and relive your wedding day anytime you’d like.
Lastly, I design Wedding Albums based on your favourite images in a way that is stunning for the eyes. These albums are genuine and artistic.
We Want To Elope Instead! Can You Help Us?
Oh absolutely! I have helped countless incredible couples plan their own special elopements over the last few years. I want to give you all my tips and tricks! I will go above and beyond to help create moments where you can have fun, be yourselves and capture
your ‘story.’ If you’re looking for bright, vibrant, emotional, and exciting images, you’ve come to the right place!

You’ve always done things a little differently. You love adventure and feel your relationship is about the two of you, not anyone else. You want to celebrate in a way that is both memorable, meaningful to you, and intentional. Let’s create the most epic, romantic day that you will never forget.

Imagine this. You are in one of the most stunning locations on the island, holding hands looking into each other’s eyes saying your vows. You’ve just spent the day exploring your favourite place or somewhere you’ve always wanted to go.

You’ve hiked to breathtaking forests, kayaked to stunning waterfalls, flown to uncharted mountaintops, set up a tent under the stars on a private beach, and watched the sunset together to have the most connected day. The options are endless. How do you want to celebrate?

Wedding Photography Pricing?
I’ve been photographing and filming Weddings for 7 years now and really understand the ins and outs of wedding days! I know photography is one of the most important aspects in terms of keeping your memories for years to come. I’m happy to just have a conversation about it and answer any questions you have.

Depending on the package (hours, video included, size), Wedding Clients typically spend between $5,000 – $9,500. If you’d like a closer look at my packages and what the experience is like to work with me, please reach out so we can talk about all the details! I want to hear about how you want your day to feel, the moment you are most excited about, what you don’t want in your wedding day, and more!

Elopement Clients typically spend between $3,000 – $5,000 + GST.
Let’s chat and figure out exactly how I can help create the perfect wedding day for you!
Where Are You Located?
I am based in Campbell River BC and Victoria BC. I travel all over Vancouver Island, and BC for weddings each year.
What Can I Add To My Package?
Engagement Photos ($100 Off)

Wedding Film

This 3-10 minute film shows some of the best moments from your day. It’s a great way to deliver your wedding day 50 years in the future and also share with those that couldn’t be there. This also includes a 2nd shooter to ensure we don’t miss a single thing.

Speeches, Dance, or First Look on Film

Video recordings of the big moments in full. This way you have high-quality footage of what is said, how you react, and how your guests react. Often times it is hard to remember exactly what is said during these moments, the words said are one thing photos can’t capture.

Ceremony on Film

20-30 minute video of your wedding ceremony in full. Multiple mics will be used to ensure everything said is captured clearly. This way you can relive all the beautiful, memorable moments of our ceremony over and over again – Like the cute kids throwing flowers or giving you the rings, the first time you see each other, the tears and laughter during the vows from the two of you and your guests, the moment you kiss to make it official, the cheers when you walk down the aisle.

Interview Videos

This is a fun one! I interview your guests near the end of the night and ask them questions ranging from ‘what was your favourite part of the wedding day’ to ‘any advice for the happy couple on their first night married’ or really whatever you want to ask! This is fantastic for rowdy crowds OR for people that are too nervous to give speeches. I think it’s beautiful when parents or grandparents share their thoughts during these videos.

Adventure Session

This is great if you are traveling for your wedding! We can take 1-2 hours to have fun exploring the area together. We can find epic locations to capture adventure and excitement before your wedding day or after. For example, if you would rather have your wedding portraits at a more epic location, let’s get you dressed up again and go somewhere amazing!

Rehearsal Dinner

Most people don’t realize this but some of the most natural, exciting time with your guests is during the rehearsal dinner. This is the perfect time for photos or intimate video footage of you with the people you love.

How Many Hours Should I Hire You?
Of course, this all depends on what your day looks like. We can discuss a timeline that is right for you, if you want to shoot me a message!
As far as the traditional, larger wedding goes, I usually say 6-10 hours is great. My ideal wedding day looks a little something like this.
1.5 Hours of Bridal Party and Groomsmen getting ready. This gives me time to take photos of the details such as your wedding rings, bouquet, gifts to one another, pre and post getting ready.
1.5 Hours of the Ceremony and Family Photos. Usually, the ceremony takes roughly 15 – 30 minutes. I like to show up at the wedding ceremony location with some time to plan out my shots, and capture guests arriving. I photograph the full ceremony and then take family photos after. This is the only time the entire family will be in one location at the same time so we must take advantage of it!
30-90 minutes for wedding party photos. This can be quick or a bit longer depending on the locations we choose for these photos and the size of the wedding party. During this time, we will take intimate photos of the two of you as well.
2-4 Hours of cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, first dances, wedding games, and more. This is where candid magic continues.
10-20 minutes for photos of just the two of you again. This gives you some more alone time after the last few hours of enjoying time with family. This time usually matches up with the sunset for those extra stunning photos.
Again, every wedding is different and I’m happy to help you plan the best start and end times for photographs. Just send me a message.
How Long Until I Receive My Gallery?
It can take anywhere between 1 and 4 months depending on the season. Any Wedding Photography packages in June – September usually take the longest to edit.
However, I always send you a sneak peek gallery within the first week of your wedding so you don’t have to wait long!
We Are Interested! What Are The Next Steps?
First Step:  Let’s Chat! Send me a message and let’s discuss what you want out of your wedding photos, and how you want your wedding day to go. We can hop on a zoom call to make sure I am the perfect fit for you!
I can send you my different wedding photography package options based on your needs. From there, if we are the right fit, I will send you a contract and an invoice for a 30% deposit to book your date.
